A war-bonnet (wapȟáha) is something earned by a warrior who serves his tribe with unwavering courage, honor, and determination. In Lakota tradition, the war-bonnet is worn by men - as they primarily serve as the protectors of their people. However, a courageous Lakota woman, named Minnie Hollow Wood was one the few women in history to earn a war-bonnet. Minnie was honored with a bonnet for her brave service in the battle of little bighorn. This T-shirt pays homage to Minnie Hollow Wood, as well as the entire Sioux Nation. For every shirt purchased, we will donate $10.00 directly to Pine Ridge Reservation, located in South Dakota. The artwork for "Homage To Minnie" was created by Adam Eron Welch. Each shirt is printed by hand, in Downtown Atascadero - a small town located on the Central Coast of California. Mitákuye Oyás'iŋ (all my relations).
